All active members of the ENU Foundation are to be held liable to the following set of rules and guidelines. Should any member of the ENU Foundation, regardless of their role, fail to adhere to the following set of rules they will be penalised as described where relevant below.

  1. Recruitment of new ENU Foundation Board Members/Members

If it is decided that the ENU Foundation board wishes to increase its size and thus is in need of new recruits it will be required to select possible candidates from the United Foundation group (general ENU Foundation members will be selected from the preparatory group). Once a pair of candidate has been identified their enrolment will be subject to a vote from the entire United Foundation group. In order to be considered for a role within the ENU Foundation candidates must meet the following criteria:

    1. Hold a positive reputation within the Enumivo community

Any prospective ENU Foundation members must have a proven history within the Enumivo community which demonstrates that they are an individual which will act within the best interest of the overall Enumivo project.

    2. Not have been evicted from the ENU Foundation

Any prospective member of the ENU Foundation must not have previously been forcefully removed from the ENU Foundation board. If a candidate has previously served a full term with the ENU Foundation and not been prematurely evicted, subsequently surrendering their surety payment, they will an eligible candidate.

    3. Have an account on Enumivo’s public forum

Due to a number of important conversations regarding the development of Enumivo and the ENU Foundation taking place in private clubs on the Enumivo public forum it is a prerequisite that all candidates have their own active account registered on the forum.

    4. Have been verified on Enumivo’s oracle platform

In the name of transparency all candidates who wish to run for a place on the ENU Foundation board must have been prior verified on the Enumivo oracle platform which can be accessed on the following web address: https://oracle.enumivo.org.

  2. Term Length

A term within the ENU Foundation board is 6 calendar months. This applies to all members of the ENU Foundation regardless of their title. At the end of 5th month of each term the ENU Foundation will assess whether its members have performed as expected and to a satisfactory level.

Should the decision to replace a member of the ENU Foundation board be made, a vote will be initiated between all members of the ENU Foundation board. This vote will be conducted during the final month of any given term to allow for a seamless transition between new and old members.

The ENU Foundation refreshment process is listed in section two of this document.

In the event a ENU Foundation board member is released at the end of their term and their role no longer relevant the refreshment process will not be initiated.

A ENU Foundation board member can be evicted from the ENU Foundation at any point during a term for any of the following reasons:

    1. Extended unexplained absence

In the event a member of the ENU Foundation decides to take an extended absence of 30 days or longer without informing the board they will be evicted from the ENU Foundation and they will sacrifice their surety payment to the ENU Foundation development fund.

Date of absence commencing will be taken as the date of latest post on the ENU Foundation Board TG group or the Enumivo Forum ENU Foundation Board private group, whichever is more recent.

    2. Publicly discrediting Enumivo or the ENU Foundation

All members of the ENU Foundation have a responsibility to act in the best interest of the Enumivo blockchain and any issues which a board member may have noticed with either Enumivo or the ENU Foundation should be addressed internally with either the ENU Foundation or the Enumivo Council of Elders. Failure to address issues internally will result in an instant eviction from the ENU Foundation and the party which is evicted will be forced to sacrifice their surety payment.

Any member of the Board may raise a complaint with supporting factual evidence and not merely based on hearsay, speculation, or baseless accusation. The Board will decide if the complaint merits further action or immediate dismissal from the Board.

    3. Manipulating the ENU price

Any member of the ENU Foundation board who is found to be involved in using their position to manipulate the market price of the ENU coin will be instantly evicted from the ENU Foundation and their surety payment will be sacrificed.

    4. Failure to participate in obligatory ENU Foundation votes

Failing to participate in a vote which is considered obligatory (i.e on a ENU Foundation board member’s removal) will result in an eviction from the ENU Foundation board and a surrender of the candidate’s surety payment.

There will be occasional matters that need the Board’s decision. Should such matters arise, a votation will be posted on the ENU Forum Board ENU Foundation Exclusive club. These special votations shall be deemed mandatory for all members. Failure to participate in special votations on three (3) occasions will will subject the Board member to the eviction process.

However, if you have prior notified the ENU Foundation board of a prolonged absence (for example a holiday or family emergency) you will be exempt from this ruling.

  3. Refreshing the ENU Foundation Board

The regular tenure of the ENU Foundation Board shall be six (6) months. Under presumption of regularity and in the interest of continuity, the Board’s tenure may carry over to another term. Refreshing the Board may take place should a formal motion be initiated by any of the board members.

    1. If it is suggested that a member of the ENU Foundation board is to be replaced at the end of their term a vote between all ENU Foundation board members will be initiated. Once initiated, all current board members, including the member who is having their position on the board reviewed, are obligated to vote either in favour of refreshing said person’s role, or against it, in a yes/no vote.

    2. In the event a vote has decided that the ENU Foundation wish to refresh their staff they will be required to hire from the pool of willing candidates which meet the criteria of the role from the United foundation group.

    3. For all votes regarding new recruitments there must be a minimum of two candidates. In order to preserve the functionality of the ENU Foundation board, a replacement for the outgoing candidate must be found prior to their exit.

    4. The Human Resource officer is tasked to administer the evaluation that happens every 5th month of the current board’s tenure. He/she shall also initiate the votation process if and when the Board decides that a certain member needs replacement, or a certain position will be deemed dispensable. S/He is also responsible for the selection process from the United Foundation group for the nominations and election of new officers.

  4. ENU Foundation Member Surety Payment

A Surety Payment equivalent to 1 months salary will be held in trust by ENU Foundation to help ensure members fulfill their service within the agreed period of time without being prematurely terminated from the ENU Foundation.

    1. Surety Amount

All members of the ENU Foundation will be required to allow the ENU Foundation to withhold one full month’s salary (in ENU tokens) from each member in the means of a surety payment. The exact amount taken from each member will vary depending on their individual salary.

    2. Surety Return

The surety payment is to be returned to each individual member at the point they have completed a full term without being prematurely evicted from the ENU Foundation.

  5. Salaries

Members of the ENU Foundation will be paid a salary which is determined by a system of stakes. The ENU Foundation will use 100,000 ENU from the monthly foundation payments made by Enumivo founder Aiden Pearce to cover the cost of ENU Foundation salaries. The 100,000 ENU balance will be divided by the total number of stakes issued on a monthly basis in order to determine the value of each stake. ENU Foundation members will be issued stakes in the following structure:

    1. One stake for ENU Foundation membership

All members of the the ENU Foundation are entitled to one additional stake in the ENU Foundation salary allotment unless they are prematurely evicted. Monthly stakes and equivalent salaries earned for time served prior to eviction shall not be forfeited.

    2. One stake for ENU Foundation board membership

All members of the ENU Foundation board are entitled to one further additional stake in the ENU Foundation salary allotment unless they are prematurely evicted. Monthly stakes and equivalent salaries earned for time served prior to eviction shall not be forfeited.

    3. One stake for public identification of legal name on ENU Foundation website

All members of the ENU Foundation are entitled to one additional stake in the ENU Foundation salary allotment for taking the risk of publicly revealing their legal identity unless they are prematurely evicted. Monthly stakes and equivalent salaries earned for time served prior to eviction shall not be forfeited.

The stakes earned by ENU Foundation can be accumulated up to a maximum of three stakes. In order to receive the maximum number of stakes a member would have to be a ENU Foundation board member which has publicly revealed their legal identity. Generally speaking the differing levels of stakes received can be broken down as follows:

ENU Foundation members: 1 stake (+1 for revelation of legal identity)
ENU Foundation board members: 2 stakes (1 from ENU Foundation Membership, 1 from ENU Foundation Board, +1 for revelation of legal identity)

Current board maximum stakes 21 and remaining ENU Foundation 12 therefore total 33 stakes maximum if everybody identifies themselves. Pot will always be divided by total stakes including identity. Any non identified members will donate their identity stake to the remain pot. Based on the 100,000 ENU stated above each stake will equate to 3030 ENU, any unclaimed identity stakes will be added to the remaining 50,000 ENU (development pool) which will be used to for web hosting for ENU Foundation website, bounties to attract new devs, etc.

ENU Foundation salaries will be capped at $500 per stake to be reviewed when necessary.

  6. ENU Foundation/Council Complaints Procedure

If the time should arise where a member of the ENU Foundation or the Enumivo Council feels the need to make a formal complaint against any member of the ENU Foundation, Enumivo Council or one of the elected block producers, they should put it in writing and address it to the board. The board will try to resolve. However, if there is a conflict of interest, Aiden will be consulted so he can use his veto rights.

  7. Board Decisions

When the board is voting on decisions, motions will be carried if 4 out of 7 Board members agree to support said motion.

  8. Block Producer Voting support

    1. Active Website & Social Media Links

All block producers must provide an active website URL/enumivo forum link and at least one social media account, ideally Telegram (website must have content not be an empty shell and must belong to the Block Producer).

As a public representative of a powerful common resource, a community presence is expected, as the main Enumivo block producer group is on Telegram, producers should be regularly checking the group and replying to calls to action.

    2. ID Information Posted on the Steemit Blockchain

In order to ensure that no one individual, or entity, owns more than one active block producer at any one time all block producing candidates are required to post links to the following identification information on the Steemit blockchain. This is to ensure the information is not altered at a later date.

      1. Official block producer candidate name
      2. Location of company headquarters if an entity or personal location if an individual
      3. Location of servers
      4. Type of servers (cloud, bare metal, etc)

      6. Relevant background qualifications
    3. Technical specifications

All block producers must provide accurate and up to date technical specifications for their block producing node.

    4. Estimated Hardware Roadmap

A rough estimate of any upgrades, which the team behind any given block producer wishes to implement, must also be listed. These can be regarding RAM, CPU, server type etc.

    5. Community benefit outline

A brief, but accurate, description of the methods by which any given block producer can foresee they will be of benefit to the overall Enumivo network and community must be provided.

    6. Listing of Telegram and node names

In order to allow the ENU Foundation to verify each block producer, they must provide accurate information regarding their staff’s Telegram names, as well as the names/hyperlinks to their node.

    7. Producer JSON setup

All block producers are required to correctly setup, and make public, their block producer JSON file. A valid example of what should be included in the file, and how the data should be structured, can be found on the following link: https://greymass.com/bp.json.

**Please note: The easiest way to setup your block producer JSON is by using the ENU GUI wallet and following the menu in this order: Tools->Smart Contracts->Producer JSON. Further information can be found: here**

    8. Keep Node Up-To-Date

Block producers must ensure that they are actively checking for updates for their node. Any updates which are released are expected to be implemented by all block producers within 48 hours of the update’s release. This is prevent them, and the blockchain, from being susceptible to bugs and vulnerabilities. As such, all block producers are required to announce, either via Telegram (in the Enumivo block producer channel channel) or via the Enumivo forum.

    9. Setup a Test Network Node

In order to practice contract upgrades and test node software upgrades, as well as test future upgrades and contracts, all block producers are required to setup at least one test network node.

ENU Foundation will operate a 3 strike rule for non compliance, after which voting support will be removed from said block producer. If block producer subsequently brings their node in line with the rules they will be allowed to join the end of the current queue (if more than 90 compliant BP apply).

Block Producers will only be allowed to apply for voting support for 1 node (this is to ensure network is decentralised)
